How to Reach the First Ending

Complete the Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue Tower puzzle routes and use their keys to activate the Map Room, chairlift, tunnels, and trains. The Black Obelisk route then becomes available. Bring its required puzzle rewards, prepare the Black Key, and use it at the far-west wall gate.

Beyond the wall, follow the long path toward the giant Sphere visible on the horizon. This is a direct final route rather than another open tower loop. Enter the Sphere and complete the cooperative puzzle sequence inside.

After the Sphere opens, descend and follow the route through the landscape. Continue past the small red gates toward a red bridge and the building surrounded by water. The final exit sequence begins there.

What Happens Inside the Sphere?

The Sphere turns the communication skills learned across the island into the final test. Normal speech disappears and the colors that distinguish players are washed away. The group must solve the remaining tasks without its usual verbal shortcuts.

The rooms use symbol cards, numbered blue markers, remotely operated yellow doors, a shared red kettle, and colored magnetic shapes. Assign one player to read the reference or controls and another to perform the input, then use consistent position, color, and shape calls. Confirm each successful input before moving to the next object because the acting player cannot always see the same information.

Gestures, movement habits, and trust replace ordinary conversation. Earlier puzzles taught players to wave, crouch, point, carry objects, and interpret incomplete signals across barriers. The finale asks whether the group can recognize those patterns after spending the adventure together.

After the puzzles are complete, voice and color return. A couch and projector provide space for the group to watch the credits and compare what happened during the silent sequence. This pause leads directly into the final separation.

The Final Turnstile and Big Goodbye

The last obstacle is a turnstile that does not allow everyone to pass together. Its mechanism shows colors corresponding to the body colors of one member of the group. That player can cross first and continue toward the white light.

Proximity chat fades as each friend moves farther away. The process repeats until every member has crossed, turning the cooperative group into separate individuals again. After the final player enters the light, the game displays its closing message.

The achievement route calls this ending Big Goodbye. Its effect depends on the customization and communication systems used throughout the game: friends helped create one another’s colors, then those same colors determine the order of departure. The sequence closes the main adventure without deleting the shared save.

How to Unlock the Additional Ending

Reload the same host save after Big Goodbye. Any standard puzzle skipped during the first journey must now be completed. Seven harder purple challenges are in the southern region; they may be encountered earlier, but their markers do not initially appear on the 3D map.

The seven challenges are advanced versions of a timer, golf carry, button-location room, speaker matching, posing, obstacle course, and symbol-sign task. Some can be encountered earlier, but they are easier to approach after the group understands the simpler versions. Their rewards contribute to full completion.

Take the final eight red rewards and seven purple rewards to the separate green completion building near the Tutorial/Map Room area and red train line. Do not confuse it with the Green Tower: the correct building has 15 empty slots. Filling them produces the White Key.

Carry the White Key back to the starting area and insert it into the small black sphere that has split open around a key slot. Go downstairs into the hidden route, remain through the final sequence, and walk through the bright white opening when it appears. This triggers Big Game and the completion ending on the same save used for Big Goodbye.

What the Big Walk Ending Means

Big Walk begins as an adventure about talking with friends, but its ending temporarily removes speech. The Sphere demonstrates that communication is broader than voice: a group builds shared gestures, timing, habits, and trust across the earlier puzzles. The finale tests those learned relationships rather than introducing an unrelated mechanic.

The turnstile then changes the goal from staying together to accepting separation. Each player can progress only when the game identifies them through colors chosen with help from friends. The same cooperative identity created during play becomes the signal that it is time to leave.

The game does not provide one explicit statement that closes every thematic question. What is directly shown is the loss and return of communication, the group’s one-by-one departure, and the option to return for a more complete post-game route. Broader emotional readings remain personal to each group.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many endings does Big Walk have?

The documented route has two ending sequences. Big Goodbye is the normal ending reached after the Black Obelisk, western wall, and giant Sphere; Big Game is the additional completion ending earned later on the same host save after clearing the remaining puzzles and White Key route.

Can you keep playing after the first ending?

Yes. Reload the same host save after Big Goodbye rather than starting a new world. You return to the island with that host’s progress and can finish skipped standard puzzles, complete the seven purple challenges, and pursue Big Game.

What is required for the completion ending?

After Big Goodbye, finish the remaining standard puzzles and all seven purple challenges. Place the final eight red and seven purple rewards in the 15-slot green building near the Tutorial/Map Room area, then carry its White Key to the split black sphere at the starting area. Insert the key, go downstairs, remain through the hidden sequence, and enter the bright white opening when it appears.

Does the final Sphere remove voice chat?

Yes. Normal speech and player colors disappear during the Sphere’s cooperative puzzle sequence, so the group must rely on gestures, movement, and the limited information shown in each room. Voice and color return after the Sphere puzzles are complete.
